And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
1 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
Sharing a Facebook memory I posted on September 12, 2017…
In everything give thanks. My uncle sent me a last minute reminder about our family reunion “just because”, although he said he knew we probably couldn’t come. However, for the first time in years it worked out that my husband was off and my kids were out of school. This never happens. We decided to come home and surprise everyone when we received the reminder from him.
I am so thankful we did because it allowed me to see and hug my grandmother one last time. I am thankful for a God who cares about us, and even in this allowed it to be so. It was on my mind at one point during our final service together to take a video/picture of her at church, but after dismissal I did not, so instead I will have to hold the memory of that day in my heart.
If it is on your heart to send a text, call, post a message on facebook, etc.than just do it. Your facebook post may be for just one person, but that’s enough. The good shepherd left all to find the one that was lost. You may be laughed at, talked about, ignored, and put down when you do, but if your message reaches the one it was meant for than it is worth it all. I realize when I post bible verses, devotionals, etc. it is not for everyone (or probably even most), but if it reaches that one than that’s okay!
Hold your loved ones close, take the pictures and videos, make the calls, get yourself right with the Lord today, because tomorrow is not promised. Enjoy and give thanks for what you have today, no matter how great or small. Be blessed everyone, and enjoy today!!
Prayers for the families of all those who lost loved ones. Prayers for those of us who remain that we will be ready to meet the Lord when our time comes. One day the Lord will wipe away every tear. One day there will be no more death, dying, and despair. We look to the hills from whence comes our help. Our help comes from the Lord!!
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Since Jesus came into my life…
I don’t talk the way I use to talk.
I don’t walk the way I use to walk.
He’s made me a new creation for all the world to see.
The love he gave to you and me when he shed His blood on Calvary.
5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
