Something To Think About…

Sharing one of my old Facebook posts I wrote in 2013.  Here it is…

Whoever said “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me” lied. Words do hurt, in fact they can kill! Please be mindful of that before you speak! Death and life are in the power of the tongue…Prov 18:21.

For those who have been tormented by others words, I am writing to tell you to fight the enemy of your mind (and soul) with the Word of God, even as Jesus did when he was tempted 3 times after fasting. The enemy whispers “nobody loves you or cares”, but your response could be “God loves me. He will never leave me nor forsake me”. Life situations or circumstances seem unsurmountable and unbearable, and the enemy whispers “just end it all”, but just remember God’s mercy is new every morning. Every day we wake up is another opportunity to get right with God, make things right with others, or work towards fulfilling our dreams. As long as you have breath in your body their is hope and a chance for a change (if you truly desire it). Never quit!!!

It is shocking the number of adults and teens who have confided that they have considered or tried to commit suicide, or self inflicting of pain by “cutting”, etc. Please stop. Seek help now! Months ago I had a “dream” that I was interceding on behalf of a loved one who was fighting the spirit of suicide, and today I woke up with this thought and strong burden. So once again I am praying and asking those who believe to pray with me that God will intercede, that God will deliver that loved one or that friend that we may not even know is struggling before it is too late!!

To all my facebook family and friends know that I care, you are my loved one, and more importantly God loves you and cares about your situation and circumstance. The storms of life come and toss us to and fro, but it only takes a word from God to calm it all ,”peace be still, and know that I am God”. Sometimes God may simply be trying to get your attention, reminding you to come to Him, or calling you to a time of consecration and prayer. Sometimes we blame God for others choices or our challenges, yet we all have a free mind to choose as we desire and evil men choose to harm others, accidents occur, good and bad happen to the just and unjust.

Be encouraged on today, and know “God is still on the throne”. Simple words, but with great meaning to those who believe! If you are not a beliver, why not? It’s simple steps to take, repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and better yet receive the GIFT of the holy ghost! To those who know the power of prayer, I ask you to join me in seeking God on behalf of our families and friends who are struggling with the effects of bullying, loss, depression, oppression, or extreme circumstances. The prayers of the righteous availeth much!!!!
