Everyone loves to hear promises of prosperity, blessings, and favor. Who wouldn’t? “Just click like and share to receive your blessing” is posted often on social media, and so many readily do. Unfortunately many in our generation don’t want to hear the truth, but prefer a false show of “love” that allows for everything except obedience to the Word. Preferring to hear “smooth things” and the promise of an easy road to travel, yet the bible says in Acts that the disciples were told to continue in the faith and that they must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Isn’t it interesting that the message is often so different in today’s society?
1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
